Mission
You will be part of the Software Quality Assurance (QA) Team at Hitachi Rail, whose commitment is to monitor all stages of software development to ensure product quality and meet international software development standards.
QA plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting and proposing measures to correct or improve final products.
Accountabilities:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Monitoring design and testing activities to guarantee requirement compliance
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and support developers in implementing solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Record test progress and results
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of the following is desirable:
- An understanding of test automation tools and manual testing practices
- Software development methodologies
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Good time management
- Problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of the English Language
